Carbon Neutral Energy
A wood burning fire is better in environmental terms than coal
or smokeless fuels as the amount of carbon dioxide released is
approximately the same as that absorbed by the tree during growth.
It is also a renewable resource, particularly when derived from
plantations and cultivated woodland.

Available for either the Riva Studio 1 or 2, the solid stone Sorrento is the perfect enhancement to the impressive Riva Studio fire.

Wood burning
All Riva Studio models and the Riva 76 Cassette fire are for
wood burning only, whilst Riva Open Convectors can be specified
with a wood burning tray. For optimum results we recommend logs
should be seasoned for 2 years or more to achieve a moisture
content below 20%. This will give twice the output of freshly
felled timber and help avoid a build up of tar in your flue. If you
can obtain hardwood logs this is better still, as they have up to
twice the calorific value of softwoods
Cleanburn Combustion
Cleanburn combustion systems burn logs with outstanding
efficiency. More heat gets delivered into the room and less goes up
the chimney. This is achieved by introducing preheated, secondary,
air into the firebox to burn excess hydrocarbons in the smoke
